After a six-year break from Dehli’s Auto Expo, Ford made a strategic decision to unveil the EcoSport and debut its global product. Ford’s team of agencies recruited an army of more than 1,000 ‘roving reporters’ from the brand’s community of fans, and to stand out from the other launches, Ford organised a pre-expo reveal of the EcoSport. The roving reporters created more than 2,000 check-ins and posted over 3,5000 updates. Over 350 journalists from across the globe attended the pre-Expo reveal and the livestream of the event received 28,000 views.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) spent around US$200,000 (HK$1.68 million) to stage a competition to promote Hong Kong as a summer destination indirectly with Visa, the event sponsor. Young visitors from the top nine short-haul markets of Hong Kong - India, Indonesia, Mainland China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand – were required to role-play in four specific scenarios and complete shopping missions. The campaign generated total publicity value of around US$25.8 million (HK$200 million) and more than two million unique views on Facebook and other social media platforms.
