Janssen Asia Pacific

 In 2016, the communication and public affairs team at Janssen Asia-Pacific played a pivotal role in supporting access to life-saving therapies, bolstering corporate and brand reputation, and engaging employees with a new strategic direction.

Across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand and Japan, the team delivered regional brand and thought-leadership campaigns to enhance Janssen’s reputation across the markets where it operates.

At the heart of this was a strategy to ensure that all 7,000 employees understood their role in the company’s new strategy, embedding a more competitive mindset and inspiring employees to act as one team—leading to enhanced business success.

The team forged new relationships and delivered high-impact communication and public affairs programmes that supported access to medicines, as well as enhanced and protected the reputation of the company. The team built greater connectivity and engagement among employees and embedded strategic priorities in impactful ways.

These actions, alongside the work of colleagues around the world, led to Janssen being ranked #1 in the pharmaceuticals category of Fortune magazine’s Most Admired Companies list. This was the most successful year for the regional Janssen Asia-Pacific communication and public affairs team by any measure.
