Kimberly-Clark Taiwan aimed to strengthen its image as an environmentally conscious company and demonstrate its green policies. It partnered with Carrefour to host five environmental education events at the store; and participated in an exhibition hosted by the Taiwan Forest Certification Development Association (TFCDA) to educate and interact with end consumers. The company also engaged stakeholders from the government, NGOs and academies by hosting panel discussions on the topic of ‘Sustained forestry and consumption’, and spoke at the foresty departments of three universities with the TFCDA.

Powering Fans till 2018: The Ultimate Airmate Bicycle Contest

To build brand awareness and generate sales of its new electrical fan, Airmate roped in amateur and professional cyclists to take part in a three-hour non-stop imaginary ride to Tibet. Riders sat on stationary electricity-generating bicycles, and the rider who generated the most electricity would receive a cash prize to embark on an real-life cycling tour of Tibet. In the first half of 2012, sales of the electrical fan were ten times higher than the same period in 2011, and total ad value reached around US$1.7 million (10 million RMB).
